I slept last night in Bunarong land
And dreamed that I met an old, old man
The song he was singing so soft and low
Was a ’callin’ to me like the wind by the sea

I was taken back to my mountain home
and down lanes I once knew I wandered alone
I stood on the corner where my daddy said goodbye
I wanted to cry and I wanted to hide
Down where the Corranderk grow, boys, down where the corranderrk grows

I went to the house of my very first love
And called out her name to the window above
I could see her auburn eyes lookin’ straight at me
Sighing that our love was never to be
So down the road I did go
Down where the grevilleas did grow,where the grevillea grows

Then I climbed up to the top of the hill
where the old schoolhouse stood proud and still
I saw the faces of my childhood friends
They smiled at me so innocently
And we ran down the valley so low

I gazed down upon a city by the sea
And hopes and dreams came upon me
so I went on down ,I wandered around

Life’s but a dream. there's worlds unseen

I awoke at dawn to the birds of the morn
and remembered the song of the Bunarong
I saw an endless ocean ,strange and diverse
The sound of breaking waves on the rocks by the caves
Filled the whole universe boys ,filled the whole universe
