AFB01 The Old Southern Line - Artwork

from Andy Baylor

The Railway Line in Cowra as featured as part of 'The Old Southern Line' album launch.

+ Oil on board
+ Unframed
+ Approximately 35cm x 40cm

Andy works in a little art studio in the signal box at the deserted railway station in Cowra, Central West, New South Wales. It’s a small, quiet and peaceful space. It evokes a feeling of days gone by.

The Railway Line painting is a view of the tracks heading south and Andy used this painting to promote his most recent album 'The Old Southern Line'.

"I paint what I see around me - landscapes filled with granite boulders, dead trees and big skies and strange clouds. I paint the moods of the country which are really my own moods. (And) in the quiet as I work, I reflect on questions of identity, sense of place, belonging, history, beauty and loss." - Andy Freeman Baylor
